At MeetNew, the safety of our community is our highest and non-negotiable priority. This page documents our child safety standards, enforcement mechanisms, and legal obligations. These standards work together with our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Community Guidelines.
1. Zero Tolerance for CSAE
MeetNew maintains an absolute zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in all forms. The following are strictly prohibited on MeetNew:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind — images, video, audio, or text
- Sexual grooming, solicitation, or exploitation of minors
- Sextortion or coercion targeting individuals under 18
- Any content that sexualises, endangers, or exploits persons under 18
- Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) involving any person
- Recruitment or trafficking of minors for any purpose
There are no exceptions to this policy. Violations result in immediate permanent account termination, mandatory reporting to NCMEC, and full cooperation with law enforcement.
2. Age Requirement — 18+ Hard Block
MeetNew is an adults-only platform restricted exclusively to users aged 18 and above. Age enforcement operates at multiple levels:
- Registration block: The app requires users to confirm they are 18 or older before account creation. Accounts cannot be created without this confirmation.
- Google Play rating: MeetNew is rated for adults only on the Google Play Store, which restricts visibility and installation for under-18 accounts.
- Age Signals API: See Section 3 for our supplementary age verification layer.
- Ongoing enforcement: Accounts suspected of underage use are investigated and permanently terminated immediately. No prior warning is given.
If you believe a minor is using MeetNew, report it immediately at meetanyapp@gmail.com — Subject: UNDERAGE USER REPORT.
3. Google Play Age Signals API
MeetNew uses Google Play's Age Signals API as a supplementary age assurance layer on top of our registration controls. This API provides age-related signals from the Google Play platform to help enforce our 18+ restriction.
- Age signals are used solely to control access — users identified as potentially under 18 are denied access to MeetNew.
- Age signal data is not stored in MeetNew's systems beyond the immediate verification check.
- This integration is implemented in compliance with Google Play's developer policies for age-restricted content platforms.
- The Age Signals API functions as a secondary gate — in addition to, not in place of, our in-app age confirmation requirement.
4. Content Detection and Moderation
MeetNew employs a multi-layer approach to detect and remove prohibited content, with a focus on preventing CSAE:
Automated Detection
- Google ML Kit: On-device content analysis is used to detect and flag potentially harmful visual content in real time during video sessions.
- Hash-matching technology: Known CSAM is detected using industry-standard hash-matching against databases maintained by NCMEC and other child protection organisations.
- Behavioural signals: Automated systems monitor for patterns associated with grooming or exploitation, including rapid repeated contact, solicitation language, and suspicious account activity.
Human Review
- User reports of CSAE are escalated to a dedicated human safety team for immediate review.
- Reports involving suspected CSAM are treated as highest-priority and reviewed within the shortest possible timeframe.
- All confirmed violations result in immediate account termination and mandatory NCMEC reporting.
Video Call Architecture
- MeetNew uses WebRTC peer-to-peer video transmission. Live video streams are not recorded or stored by MeetNew's servers.
- Real-time on-device analysis allows moderation without requiring central storage of video content.
5. CSAM Detection and Mandatory Reporting
MeetNew is legally obligated to report all detected or suspected child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities.
NCMEC CyberTipline Reporting: Pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, MeetNew reports all apparent violations involving CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline at cybertipline.org. This is a mandatory legal obligation.
What we report: Reports to NCMEC include all relevant account information, content, session data, and any identifying information available related to the suspected violation.
Law enforcement referral: Following NCMEC reporting, MeetNew cooperates fully with any resulting law enforcement investigation. We will provide all requested data in response to valid legal process.
No prior notice to user: Users suspected of CSAM-related violations will not be notified before their account is terminated or before their data is provided to NCMEC or law enforcement.
